When Mercury Retrograde ate my podcast 🪐

When I saw Cecily’s name pop into my inbox, I was bubbling with excitement.

I clicked hurriedly, thinking it was our recent podcast interview, finally live and ready to share.

Nope. The internet had eaten the episode like Jaws and an unsuspecting swimmer, and the file was gone.

We blamed Mercury Retrograde 😜, but I also suspect the universe was giving me a nudge.

As one of my first podcasts where I spoke more openly about tarot, it felt like the universe was asking, “But are you sure, Arianna?”

So, months later, we recorded again. And it’s even better than the first. ✨

We discuss:

  • What it can look like to bring Tarot into a therapy space, either as a client or clinician
  • How to take steps to "own" a Tarot practice more fully or publicly, in our own unique ways
  • Unexpected, but powerful connections between addiction, recovery, and Tarot
  • Plus, we pull a couple of cards, The Lovers and 10 of Wands, which seem to depict two ends on a spectrum of self-acceptance and care

Since the recording, I’ve become borderline obsessed with Cecily’s jaw-dropping workbook, Tarot for Creative Spirits.

If you’ve been craving a workbook that lets you color, doodle, write, and go deep with Tarot, this is the one.

My mom, a retired art teacher, got one too, and now she’s painting her way through the workbook with watercolors, of course. 🎨

An open spiral-bound Tarot for Creative Spirits workbook rests on grass among yellow leaves. The pages are decorated with Tarot cards, watercolor art, and handwritten reflections. The visible section focuses on “The Fool” card and includes creative journaling prompts.
A person sits at a wooden table engaging with the Tarot for Creative Spirits workbook. They're holding a Tarot card featuring a serene woman while reading and writing notes on watercolor-painted pages filled with creative prompts and card reflections.

P.S. Funny enough, this whole collaboration started with a pitch, one that I almost didn’t send because I was nervous to be more visible around tarot.

That one email turned into a recurring guest spot and a witchy friendship. (We check in during lunar events, of course. 🌖)

The moral of the story: Sometimes a single, heartfelt pitch can open doors you didn’t even know were there.

If you want a peek into my process for pitching aligned podcasts (even when you have no clue wtf you're doing), join my Pitch Party Workshop on November 5.

It’s under a Full Moon. No coincidence there.
