Hi Reader,
What to Write This Month is back – and it’s the January 2026 Edition!
What it is: My intuitively-informed guide to attune your business practices and content creation to the seasonal, astrological, and collective energies shaping the month ahead.
But it's not all woo. I layer in my lived experience, clinical perspective, and filter everything through my lens as a conversion copywriter and consent-based marketer.
How to use this: Choose whichever sections and prompts most resonate for you so you can write seasonally-attuned content, tend to your business, or simply feel validated that your experience is being reflected in the cosmos.
JANUARY'S THEME: SATURATION
A theme, word, or feeling that can anchor you this month
After the noise of the holidays (and let’s be honest, 2025), we are feeling full. Inundated with life, stimulation, activities, or ideas, for better or worse.
But there is a balance. Think of when you're watering your plants, saturating them with enough water to completely soak their roots, allowing excess to drain out.
Whether it's water, energy, or ideas, when there is a way for excess to pass through, what remains is needed. Nothing more, nothing less.
So, you may feel a sense of completion this month: finding the perfect chair to round out your office, a recurring monthly gathering finally secured on your calendar, or the closing of a creative project.
Or you may be facing the stark, unarguable realization that you cannot continue as you have – nor do you want to.
This month is an invitation to consider where your life or business is saturated and where release of excess is needed.
🪴 What areas of your life and business feel full?
🪴 How do you relate to moments of completion? Is it peaceful or uncomfortable?
🪴 What is one way that you might relieve the pressure, expectation, or desire to add more to your plate?
ASTRO-TENDING YOUR BUSINESS
How this month’s astrology can guide your business practices + priorities
January is marked by allll the Capricorn vibes. 🐐 Caps get it done with minimal fuss. Consider tapping into the momentum-building of this earth sign to evaluate the structure and long-term vision of your plans. You may ponder: “What am I building, and does it support the life I want?”
Around January 20th, we enter Aquarius season. Aquarius is the loveable weirdo who texts you at 2:21 am with a wild idea that just might work. It’s the energy of innovation, experimentation, and new ways of thinking, especially in how we work together.
Capricorn helps us stabilize, Aquarius dreams up what’s next.
(Want to apply Aquarius energy to your copy? Get weirder.)
YOUR ASTRO TO-DOS 📝
Clarify your foundation.
Strategize your future collaborations.
- Aquarius season turns us toward community. Who feels like a natural collaborator, thought partner, or co-conspirator? Are there people already in your community you have overlooked?
Allow yourself to dream. Pay close attention to what sticks.
- Aquarius is the innovator and supports ideas that haven’t quite taken shape yet. What’s something you’ve never done before, but feel quietly curious about?

THE EMPRESS 🌸
The Empress is a card that reminds you: things take the time they take.
It’s an excellent counter to the get-er-done energy of Capricorn.
How can you allow an idea, relationship, or creation to be at the stage it needs to be at?

FIVE OF CUPS 💧
As we consider where we are saturated, we may become aware of what has passed and what we are still longing for. Five of Cups is an invitation to take the time you need to process loss, only turning to what remains when you’re ready.

JUSTICE (REVERSED) ⚖️
Justice Rx comes in when we are cycling out of a recalibration period and may have some final pieces left to feel fully aligned. It may show up as something under the surface that destabilizes us, a call for deeper repair (with self or others), or simply a reminder not to skip the final steps of a project.
Justice Rx-Inspired Content Prompts:
- “If you keep second-guessing [decision], this might be why.”
- “How to tell when [something] needs to be [renegotiated/rebalanced].”
- “How to spot [shadow experience] even though you’re [client/business state] on the surface.” → How to spot quiet financial leaks in your business even though your bank account seems fine.
