This one question unlocks everything 🤯

Looking to hand off your copy so you can focus on what you love? 💚

I’m now booking projects for 2025! Explore done-for-you copywriting.

"I'm not good at talking about myself."

It's the second time I heard this today. But I know what to do.

You see, I’m knee-deep in writing therapist bios. I'm working with a few group practices that want to make sure their team members' bios highlight their unique specialties while still having a consistent, clear brand voice.

As part of this process, I interview the clinicians, asking them about their ideal clients, approaches, and specialties.

I’ve noticed something interesting—there’s one question that seems to unlock everything.

Asking therapists and wellness professionals to talk about themselves often triggers discomfort or confusion about where to start.

So, instead, I start the interview with this prompt:

"You’ve just finished one of your best days as a helping professional. What types of clients did you see? What was happening in sessions? Tell me everything."

This question bypasses awkwardness and overthinking. It helps them connect with their heart and curiosity—why they love the work they do.

Their body language changes and the conversation opens up. It's not uncommon for me to get goosebumps as I watch this shift happen.

That *spark* is exactly what I want you to capture in your bio.

It’s not just about words. It’s about your energy.

Because that’s what makes you different.

Not just your degree, but your non-categorizable uniqueness. It contributes to one of the most powerful indicators of good outcomes—the therapeutic relationship.

✨ If you want support writing that this-could-only-be-Reader bio, then you can tag me in. ✨

When you hire a copywriter who has a clinical background, we can riff like colleagues. Meanwhile, I'll listen with my copywriting ears to the messages, tone, and words you use.

I’ll help capture the heart-felt bio that truly reflects the work that you want to be known for—without the self-promotion ick.

But before you hire anyone, here’s something to try today:

Take five minutes and answer this question:

"It’s been one of your best days as a therapist or wellness professional. What happened? Describe in detail."

Free write, talk into your voice notes or leave me a Voxer memo. Let it flow. See what organically comes up.

Hit "reply" to let me know—how did it feel? What was your answer?

Warmly,
Ari
